Hebrew Numerology is also known as ‘Gematria numerology’. It is the practice to interfere significant meanings which are immediately obvious from numbers, especially in Hebrew scripture.
In, Hebrew each letter depicts a numerical value. Gematria is considered as the calculation of numerical equivalence of words, phrases or letters. on the basis of this calculation an insight into interrelation of different concepts is done and interrelationship between words and ideas is carried out.
Basic Introduction To Hebrew Numerology:
The basic introduction of Hebrew numerology discusses different systems to identify the numerical equivalence of each letter and how these letters can be calculated according to word-value of their names.
The concept behind this technique is that numerical equivalence is not coincidental. It believes that as the world was created by God’s speech so each letter represents a different creative force. Hence the numerical equivalence of two different words reveals the interconnection between the creative potential of each other.
Methods To Calculate Numerical Equivalence In Hebrew Numerology:
There are four ways to calculate numerical equivalence of individual letters:
- Absolute Value: Absolute value is also known as ‘Normative value’. Each letter carries the value of its accepted numerical equivalence like alef equals to one, beit equals to two and so on. The tenth letter yud equals to 10 and successive letters 20, 30 and so on. The letter kuf near the alphabet depicts 100 and the last letter tuv depicts 400.
- Ordinal Value: Each of the 22 letters are given an equivalent from 1 -22. for example – alef = 1, kaf = 11, taf = 22. The final kaf equals to 23 and the final tazadik equals to 27.
- Reduced Value: Each letter is reduced to a figure of one digit. For example, alef = 1 and yud = 10 and kuf = 100; so all these letters will have a common reduced value of 1. Similarly, beit = 2, kaf = 20 and reish = 200 all would have a numerical value of 2.
- Integrated Reduced Value: Integrated reduced value means that the total numerical f a word is reduced to one digit. In case the sum of the numbers increase than 9 then the integer values of the number repeatedly added to each other to make it single digit figure.

Hi,
I created quite a large list of people according to their numerological number.
You can see the list here:

I’m afraid that I’m not too familiar with numerology, beside the very computation.
do you find these list useful?
Are there other improvements you suggest that I’ll add?
Thanks,
