What is Lunar Eclipse and When It Occurs?

Lunar eclipse is a phase of cycle of the Moon, in which the Earth comes between the Moon and the Sun. Eclipse of the Moon occurs when the Moon, Sun and Earth are exactly aligned, or come closer, with the Earth in the middle. At that time, the Moon passes through some portion of the Earth’s shadow which darkens the Moon. Lunar eclipses occur at the time of a Full Moon.

Lunar Eclipse – Effects:

Traditionally, the eclipse of the Moon has been viewed as a bad omen. Moon governs the personal and domestic matters – the public and emotional etiqutte – rather than leadership, hence the eclipse of the Moon can affect more on the personal side. It has no effect on outward fields like politics.

Lunar cycle mostly affects women and family matters, whereas solar cycle affects men and politics. The above point does not mean that women are unrelated to politics, but it means that more private matters are affected by Lunar eclipse. Even in this modern world, still the arena of politics is primarily dealt with men rather than women.
